Movies as Problem-Solution Pairs

I've watched a HUGE number of movies in my life and I wanted to write about something that I've been thinking about for a while.

Every movie can be summarized into a single high-level problem.

Movies as problems and solving the problem. Every movie can be summarized into a problem the main characters come up with and then solving it. Then there are movies like memories of murder which does not solve the actual problem.
